New York Medicaid Choice Workshops for Albany health care providers
New York Medicaid Choice (NYMC) will host local and web-based workshops in February and March to inform health care providers in Albany County about a new Medicaid Program policy that may affect their patients who are in need of long term care services.
Albany residents who are enrolled in both Medicare and Medicaid and who are 21 years of age or older must join managed care plans to receive home care and other long term care services.
New York Medicaid Choice is New York State's Medicaid managed care enrollment program. NYMC notifies beneficiaries about their required managed care enrollment. The program provides managed care education and enrollment assistance in all languages through a toll-free customer services center.
Workshop leaders will discuss the program's services, provide an overview of participating managed care plans and cover other related topics.
