New York Medicaid Choice workshops for health care providers in January
New York Medicaid Choice (NYMC) will host local and web-based workshops in January designed to inform health care providers about a new Medicaid policy that may affect their patients who reside in Monroe county.
Monroe residents who are enrolled in both Medicare and Medicaid and who are 21 years of age or older, are now required to join managed care plans to receive home care and other long term care services.
New York Medicaid Choice is New York State's Medicaid managed care enrollment program. NYMC notifies beneficiaries about their required managed care enrollment. The program provides managed care education and enrollment assistance in all languages through a toll-free customer services center.
Workshop leaders will discuss the program's services, provide an overview of participating managed care plans and cover other related topics.
